The Big Event!
We see our wedding as a celebration of our friends and family - a chance to connect old friends with new, to show our appreciation of all of you and to revel in memorable stories. We chose Stanford Sierra Camp as our wedding site for a number of reasons. First, it is a gorgeous place, tucked away just south of Lake Tahoe in the midst of a grand, old growth forest and abutting the Desolation Wilderness. Second, Kim and I share a love of the mountains. Finally, it meets all the requirements for our wedding - it provides many opportunities to be outside; it is accessible to all of the people we love; and, despite its remote location, it boasts of a chef who has few peers.
Date & Location
The wedding will be held at Stanford Sierra Camp in Fallen Leaf Lake, California on November 9, 10 & 11 of 2007. The fun begins at 5 pm and continues until Sunday at 12 noon. Click here to see the tentative schedule of events.
What's Included
SSC is an all-inclusive resort camp. The cost for the weekend is $310 per person. This includes two nights lodging in a lakeside cabin, all meals from Friday evening through Sunday brunch and access to all camp facilities and activities. Click here for a sampling of available hikes and activities.
We are excited to bring our friends and family together for an extended period of time. We look forward to the opportunity for everyone to get to know each other and share some special moments. We hope you will be able to join us in November. We know that some of you will not be able to join us for the weekend and that you will be with us in spirit.
Lodging
We reserved the entire camp and all guests will stay at the camp. You can be sure that if you have rommates they will either be your family, be well known to you or will at the very least be good company. Let us know if you have special requests. We'll do our best. Children
The camp has limited space. If you would like to bring your children, our wish would be to accommodate them. Please call to check availability. The weekend cost per child is $125 for children aged four to twelve. There is no charge for those under four, but we'll still need to know in order to give the camp an accurate list.
